Accessibility statement

We aim to make this site and the documents we produce usable by everyone who needs them. This statement sets out where we stand and how to tell us when we fall short.

Devol Legal wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.

What we have done

  • Pages use semantic headings in a logical order, so that structure is available to assistive technology
  • Text and background colours have been chosen to give a strong contrast ratio in the site's black-and-white palette
  • The site can be navigated by keyboard, and focus is visibly indicated
  • Body text resizes without loss of content or function, and the layout reflows on small screens
  • Animation is limited, and is disabled entirely where a visitor has set a reduced-motion preference in their operating system
  • Images carry alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology
  • Form fields have visible, associated labels

Known limitations

Payment functions on the Payments page are provided by third parties, and their interfaces are outside our control. If you have difficulty using them, contact us and we will arrange an alternative method of payment.

We have not yet commissioned a formal independent audit against WCAG 2.2 AA. We aim to meet that standard and we test the site ourselves, but we are not in a position to certify full conformance, and it would be wrong to claim otherwise.

Documents we produce

Advice, reports and training material are produced in accessible formats as standard. Where you need a document in large print, in a particular file format, or structured for a specific assistive technology, tell us at the outset and we will produce it that way rather than converting it afterwards.

Meetings and delivery

The practice works remotely. If a particular format of meeting, a captioning arrangement or a written alternative to a video call would suit you better, say so and we will work to it.

Telling us about a problem

If you find something on this site you cannot use, we would like to know. Email info@devol-legal.co.uk or telephone 020 4617 0560, describing the page and the difficulty. We aim to respond within five working days.

Devol Legal Limited is a private company and is not itself a public sector body for the purposes of the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. We nonetheless work to the same standard, because most of the people who read this site are subject to those obligations themselves.
